Brittni graduated from Pepperdine University with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine in 2016. Mackenzie’s first exposure to lab research began as an undergraduate at UCSB where he studied reproductive diapause in fruit flies. After earning his degree in 2018, Mackenzie transitioned into small molecule development while working at City of Hope and Oncovalent Therapeutics. Outside of the lab, you can find him rock climbing or playing beach volleyball.
Nathan earned his PhD from the University of Minnesota in 2016, where he studied ion transport in airway epithelial cells. He joined the lab in the fall of 2016 to explore the wonders of the kidney. When he’s not in the lab, he enjoys hiking, bowling and playing soccer.
Jen Pluznick received her Ph.D. in Renal Physiology from the University of Nebraska Medical Center (Omaha, NE) in 2005.
