Noel Getachew graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2020 with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and joined the lab in 2021. He is currently studying how a novel receptor that affects blood pressure responds to Short-chain fatty acids produced by the gut microbiome. Outside of lab he is a quiet guy who likes soccer, basketball, reading, and hanging out with friends.
