Mackenzie’s first exposure to lab research began as an undergraduate at UCSB where he studied reproductive diapause in fruit flies. After earning his degree in 2018, Mackenzie transitioned into small molecule development while working at City of Hope and Oncovalent Therapeutics. Outside of the lab, you can find him rock climbing or playing beach volleyball.
Noel Getachew graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2020 with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and joined the lab in 2021.
